As the weather cools and the leaves continue to change colour and fall, my mind focuses on what needs to be done for the next two seasons. I embrace the longer evenings, as they give me a chance to make lists and plans.

The switch has been flicked, shifting us into one of the most beautiful seasons of the year: Autumn! It gently eases us in with its lower light levels, magical sunrises, and, best of all, the kaleidoscope of colours cascading across the landscape and garden. This month is truly theatrical, inviting us to be present and soak in the stunning transformations around us.

One of my greatest joys of this month will be the stunning sunrises, which truly invigorate the senses and a real tonic for the soul.

I’ve got butterflies in my stomach and an ache inside my chest! THIS is the perfect month to not only celebrate my birthday, but also launch a brand new membership for you to join and become more connected to us and our garden.

The height of the summer has finally arrived here in the UK. Hazy skies, warm air, and the garden bursting at the seams. 

It’s such a joy to walk through the garden at this time… with spring merging into summer, bringing warm, lingering days filled with the soft floral aromas of roses, honeysuckle, and jasmine.

What thoughts rush through your mind when you think of the month of May? Every day in May offers something new to see and admire in the garden.

Well the countdown has officially begun for our Open Garden Event at the end of this month! Excited? Yes.. nervous? Absolutely!

What colour do you associate Spring with? I asked Tom this yesterday and his first answer was yellow, then blue! Of course, we tend to think immediately of bright yellow Daffodils, soft yellow Primroses, Bluebells and Muscari. For me, it’s white.

There are many reasons to love this month like amazing sunrises, sunsets, and the increasing birdsong. Even though it’s a leap year, it still remains the shortest month. By 29th February, we will have gained almost a whole extra hour of daylight!

The beginning of a brand-new year awaits… the shortest day has passed, and I am longing to see the first signs of the brave snowdrops beginning to emerge as they never fail to brighten the dullest of winter days.

The later sunrise and shorter days means savouring those incredible frosty mornings. All the dahlias are boxed up and tucked away for the winter, while the planting of tulip bulbs continues.
