Dear friend,
It’s such a joy to walk through the garden at this time… with spring merging into summer, bringing warm, lingering days filled with the soft floral aromas of roses, honeysuckle, and jasmine.
I’m usually thinking about the next project or the next job that needs my attention but on rare occasions I allow myself to wander around the garden, purely to be in the moment and remind myself of how much we have achieved here.
The many dahlias I’ve been growing over the last couple of months are strong and ready to be planted outside into our prepared beds. It’s a fairly big job as we have almost 100 plants, plus they will need to be staked properly to give extra support from any late summer winds. I can’t wait to be picking armfuls of their beautiful flowers from mid July.

PRESS DAY
With the help of Tom (my camera man!) we managed to capture some small snippets of our time on Press day at the Chelsea Flower Show. It’s very real, in that I completely forgot to wear my microphone, having left it in my bag the whole time. However, I’m sure you can forgive me, and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did!

We have a new addition – the new David Austin rose that was announced and showcased at the Chelsea Flower Show last month. It’s name is Emma Bridgewater™️ and is one of the most beautiful roses I’ve seen in a while, with its soft pink peach tones and wonderful tea fragrance. A definite must have for any summer garden!
